Text Box: The drum has been used as a powerful means of communication throughout the world. In Africa, people living in neighboring villages often spoke different languages or dialects and yet were able to communicate with each other through the use of ‘Talking Drums’. A drum is a circle that can be used for exclusion or inclusion. and Drum Television’s mission is to reach out to people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds to empower themselves, their communities, businesses, entrepreneurs and others to share cultural, business and educational opportunities while giving a voice to this underserved population.

By combining Visual Storytelling techniques and new technology we have created an internet television station to air local, national and international material contributed by creative people who want to participate In our innovative use of this technology to benefit and share information about their communities.
Streaming media on the internet is the next frontier. The Community Film Workshop Council has created The Drum Television Network based on Viral Video Syndication and the desire to open up this exciting new use of technology to a vastly underserved segment of our society.
Our goal is to provide training and a vehicle to residents of New York, national and international communities to create, manage and execute high quality streaming video projects sharing their images and messages with the world.
We will ultimately become self-sustaining as an internet television network giving participants opportunities to take part in our vision and enhance communication, career and business opportunities in communities across the US, the Caribbean and the world.
